No driving license for young offenders

Munich. Young offenders could be refused a driving license in Bavaria, under new rules proposed by the Government.

Only if they pass a psychological assessment might they be allowed to sit a driving exam.

Young offenders have a poor record in safe driving: "the safety of driving is regularly confirmed negative for perpetrators of crime," says Parliament President Christoph Hillenbrand. Since 2007 123 licenses were revoked with 170 of those being permanent.
