The humanitarian crisis in Sudan has reached alarming levels, particularly as the nation marks the second anniversary of the outbreak of violent conflict between the national army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). The ongoing strife, ignited by resistance from the RSF against integration into the national military, has resulted in catastrophic consequences for the civilian population.

According to reports from humanitarian organizations, the conflict has led to an estimated death toll of 150,000 individuals and has displaced over 12 million people. The situation in Sudan has been described as one of the most severe humanitarian disasters in the world today, with pressing needs for medical assistance and basic resources.

In an interview conducted in Port Sudan, a representative from the International Red Cross highlighted the dire conditions faced by civilians.
