Motorcyclist Faces Multiple Penalties After Speeding Incident in Kleinzell

Police officers in St. Veit carried out speed enforcement measures along the L 133 in the Kleinzell area, where they intercepted a motorcyclist traveling at a significantly excessive speed.

During the afternoon traffic control operation, law enforcement measured a motorcycle being operated at 125 kilometers per hour in a section where the posted speed limit was 70 kilometers per hour. The motorcyclist, a 24-year-old resident of Vienna, was promptly stopped for this violation and subjected to further inspection.

A subsequent examination of the motorcycle revealed a critical safety issue: the rear tire had worn down to a point where no measurable tread depth remained. According to authorities, this condition represents a substantial risk to both the rider and other road users, as worn tires can dramatically reduce traction, especially at high speeds or in adverse weather conditions.

Due to the severity of the infractions, the police undertook what they described as a comprehensive intervention. The rider's motorcycle license, which had only been issued a week prior, was temporarily confiscated. In addition, officers removed the vehicle's registration plates and impounded the registration certificate. These actions were taken immediately due to the imminent safety threat posed by the tire's condition.

The case has been referred to the relevant district administrative authority, where the rider will face further administrative proceedings.
