Authorities in the Amstetten region are investigating a series of coordinated thefts that have targeted commercial and residential properties as well as parked vehicles. The incidents, which occurred in several locations including Ertl, Ulmerfeld, Amstetten, and Ennsdorf, have resulted in significant financial losses and heightened concerns among local residents and business owners.

In Ertl, unknown individuals selected a local automotive business as their target. The perpetrators gained entry by forcing open a window on the north side of the building. Once inside, they utilized tools found within the workshop to break into a safe located in the office area, from which they stole a substantial sum of cash. Investigators have collected DNA evidence and shoe prints from the scene, which are now being analyzed as part of ongoing efforts to identify the culprits.

Meanwhile, in Ulmerfeld, burglars broke into a private residence while the homeowner was away on holiday. The intruders shattered the back door with a hammer, allowing them access to the property. After thoroughly searching the premises, they absconded with a collection of jewelry and gold coins, both of considerable value. The incident was discovered by the homeowner's son-in-law, who promptly notified the police, initiating a formal investigation.

Another incident was reported in the Stefan-Fadinger-Strasse area of Amstetten, where thieves targeted a basement storage unit in a residential building. The suspects managed to break into the compartment and stole two electric scooters, further adding to the series of thefts plaguing the region.

Additionally, in Ennsdorf, criminals focused their attention on a publicly accessible parking area within the local business park. The offenders systematically removed ten headlights from five parked trucks, causing extensive damage and disruption to the affected businesses. Security camera footage and witness statements have revealed that the suspects used a silver-colored Peugeot passenger vehicle, believed to display an AM-registered license plate. The total financial impact of this theft is estimated to be in the tens of thousands of euros.

Local law enforcement has increased patrols and is urging residents and business owners to remain vigilant, report any suspicious activity, and verify the security of their properties. The police are actively pursuing leads based on forensic evidence and surveillance material, with the aim of apprehending those responsible for the recent surge in criminal activity.

Authorities emphasize the importance of community cooperation in preventing further incidents and bringing the perpetrators to justice. Investigations remain ongoing across all affected locations.
