Heute.at Brings Advertising Operations In-House and Forms New Technology Partnership for 2026

Heute.at, one of Austria's leading digital news platforms, has announced significant changes to its advertising strategy, aiming to enhance service delivery and technological capabilities. The company will bring its direct and agency advertising sales back in-house, while also establishing a new partnership with ad technology specialist audienzz, set to commence at the beginning of 2026.

From January 2026, Heute.at will manage all aspects of direct and agency advertising internally. This transition is designed to streamline customer service, campaign management, offer development, and reporting processes. By centralizing these operations, Heute.at seeks to improve efficiency, shorten response times, and strengthen accountability within its advertising team.

As part of this strategic shift, Heute.at will conclude its six-year collaboration with Goldbach (recently operating as Azerion Austria) by the end of December 2025. The company acknowledges the contributions Goldbach made in supporting its advertising growth and infrastructure during this period. The amicable separation marks the end of a partnership that has helped establish a stable foundation for Heute.at's advertising operations.

Looking ahead, Heute.at is partnering with audienzz to implement advanced ad technology solutions. Audienzz will provide the technical backbone for digital advertising, including the deployment of its AdConsole platform. This system is designed to automate and integrate all stages of advertising campaign management, enabling media buyers to execute cross-media campaigns efficiently within a single interface. This integration is expected to increase transparency and operational agility for both publishers and advertisers.

The collaboration will also involve the adoption of comprehensive yield management strategies and a header bidding solution, allowing Heute.at to maximize the value of its digital audience. Through transparent auctions and access to a broad network of demand partners, Heute.at anticipates improved monetization and enhanced results for advertising clients.

The technical migration and onboarding process are scheduled to begin in autumn 2025, ensuring a seamless transition to the new setup by January 2026. The division of roles will see Heute.at oversee all direct and agency sales, as well as direct programmatic deals. Audienzz will be responsible for maintaining the ad tech stack, optimizing processes, and offering robust support and reporting solutions.

Heute.at continues to rank among the most widely read digital news outlets in Austria, reaching millions of users with timely and relevant content, according to the Austrian Web Analysis (ÖWA). The new developments are intended to reinforce its position in the digital media landscape and deliver greater value to both advertisers and readers through innovation and improved operational efficiency.

Audienzz, known for its expertise in digital advertising technology, will bring its extensive experience to the Austrian market through this partnership. The company aims to support Heute.at in achieving its growth objectives and maintaining its leadership in digital media advertising.
