New open-air bathing season: prices increase

Munich. The council will increase prices in the Munich swimming pools "M-Baths" by the 1st of May.

With the start of open-air bathing season the prices in the "M-Baths" see an increase in 10 cents per entry. The price increase applies to all 18 swimming pools, whether indoor or outdoor.

A visit to the Müller-Volksbad swimming pool, or Cosima-Wellenbad (no time limit) costs adults 3.80 euros, in Nordbad (three hours) 3.90 euros and in Michaelibad (three hours) 4,50 Euro. In the pools, the ticket price increases with the start of the summer season up to 3.50 euro (without time limit). In the saunas you pay 30 cents more (for example, for four hours Dante Nordbad 14.30 euros instead of 14 euros).

"In almost all areas Munich is the most expensive German city. However, in comparison to other big German cities, public utilities like the M-Baths services belongs to the cheapest providers and this coming with diverse and modern sports coverage, leisure and wellness opportunities that no other city has to offer ", says Stadtwerke head Kurt Mühlhà¤user in his statement.
