Munich Olympic 2018 National Sponsor Choice

Munich places a lot of hope to host the Olympic Winter Games in 2018. Among companies applying to be the "National Sponsor" are sports goods manufacturer Adidas and Siemens. The application authority has identified the financial needs for their campaign to be 30 million euro reports Sueddeutsche Zeitung.  With the money from Adidas, the company has now an application of 17 million euros and with an appropriate proportion of Siemens sponsorship the application authority will be close to two thirds of the needed sum. To possess the title of "national sponsor" for an event like the Olympics carries a lot of prestige but is also immensely expensive. Other big sponsors are BMW, Flughafen München and Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe.
