Michael Jackson Biopic Premiere Delayed Until 2027

The highly anticipated biopic titled Michael has faced yet another delay, with its release now pushed back to 2027. Originally slated to debut in theaters in the spring of 2025, the film was first rescheduled to October of this year.

Film studio Lionsgate, which is producing the project, is reportedly considering splitting the film into two parts to better accommodate the extensive narrative surrounding the life of the iconic pop star.

The role of Michael Jackson will be portrayed by Jaafar Jackson, the son of Jermaine Jackson, a member of the famous Jackson family. Directing the film is Antoine Fuqua, known for his acclaimed work on films such as Training Day featuring Denzel Washington.
