Kino-season

The mosquitoes buzz, poking the grass while on the screen the choreographer bites Natalie Portman on the lip - the outdoor cinema season has begun. The Oscar-winner "Black Swan" appears in all the open-air cinemas around Munich; the ballerina dances on the screen under the summer sky at the Royal Palace, at the Olympic in West Park and in the Fürstenfelder cloister.

Ironically "The last beautiful fall day" was the German film that started this year's open-air season last Thursday on the floating stage "Cinema, Moon and Stars" in West Park. Munich residents have ten weeks of showings, so seventy evenings to experience Hollywood in West Park this year. There is never the risk of coming here for nothing, because even if neither moon nor stars are visible, a movie is shown - even during heavy rain.
