Munich. Yesterday Mayor Christian Ude (SPD) and Joachim Herrmann (CSU) together with numerous policemen honored the memory of the four heroes of 1923. The police officers Rudolf Friedrich, Fink Schraut and two of their colleagues, Nicholas Hollweg and Max Schoberth were killed 87 years ago in an attempt to oppose the Hitler Putsch at Odeonsplatz.

A commemorative copper plaque on the facade of Residence House with their names engraved, serves as a reminder to an important part of the history that took place in Munich.
