Munich. Employees in a bakery at the central train station in Munich have been stealing money for years. A police detective uncovered the crime.
The owner of the bakery Höflinger at the central train station in Munich had suspicions that not all of his sold goods were balanced properly by his employees. For that reason he hired a detective agency to observe the bakery for several weeks. The detectives could effectively document embezzlement and theft through four employees.
The employer then took the employees to task and brought two of them to the police department at the train station.
Both employees were questioned by the police and admitted to the theft. They explained how they did it and how the other two employees helped. According to their information given over 3 years, they sold bakery products from the day before or the current day without using the till to bill it. Which resulted in 10 to 50 Euros per employee per day. Initial estimates are expected to be around 150,000 Euro over a 3 year period.
The four can expected to be charged with organized crime.
