Dangerous overtaking: driver killed

Rosenheim. There was a severe accident on the A8 Autobahn near Bad Aibling on saturday. At around 5.15 PM a dark-coloured BMW drove at high speed into the overtaking lane in the Salzburg direction. Shortly before reaching the exit to Bad Aibling, a bright blue Skoda (Fabia) changed lanes from the middle to the left lane, directly infront of the BMW according to witnesses. The BMW, while trying to break and avoid the car, started sliding into a dyke to the right of the Autobahn, the car broke through an animal fence and rolled over many times. The blue Skoda continued its journey; it is not known if the driver even noticed the accident he or she caused.

Nearby drivers who witnessed the accident called the ambulance and removed the severly injured man from his BMW. The paramedics could not save the BMW driver and he died on the roadside. An expert will be consulted to clarify the exact details of the accident.
