Starnberg. 21 days to help the climate: the date for the city biking event in Starnberg is set. Registration for the mission from the 19th of September to the 9th of October is now available.
Last year's city bikers pedalled 62,022 kilometres. The organisers have much higher expectations for this years event and call for participation. The aim is to cycle as much as possible from the 19th of September to the 9th of October, and to record the distance cycled. At the end, all of the kilometres will contribute towards the city evaluation. The goal is to do as few car journeys as possible - to reduce Co2 pollution.
"Participation is simple and depends on the honesty of everyone", says Winnie Wobbe, third mayor of Starnberg and captain of the town council. Everyone can attend, alone or in groups, it is possible to register until close to the start of the event. Neighbours, colleagues, club comrades or students - everyone is welcome. If you want to be a part of the event or have questions, you can call (08151) 77 37 73 or send an e-mail to stadtradeln@peak-pr.de. More information at www. stadtradeln.de.
