In a heartfelt tribute to animal welfare, the Berndorf Dog School commemorated World Animal Protection Day, highlighting over five decades of dedicated service led by Peter Gutovnik. For 50 years, Gutovnik has passionately directed the school, serving as its chairman for the past 45 years. His commitment extends beyond local boundaries, as he has also held the position of state specialist representative for ASVÖ-NÖ Dog Sports for two decades, overseeing 85 dog clubs across the region.

Under Gutovnik's guidance, more than 1,000 dog handlers have received training alongside their beloved companions. The celebration not only recognizes the importance of responsible dog ownership but also emphasizes the broader mission of promoting animal welfare in the community.

The event included various activities aimed at educating dog owners and fostering a deeper understanding of canine behavior and training techniques. Attendees participated in workshops, interactive sessions, and demonstrations, all designed to enhance the bond between dogs and their owners. Furthermore, the day served as a platform to raise awareness about the significance of animal rights and the responsibilities of pet ownership.

Gutovnik, often affectionately referred to as "Hundepeter," has become a central figure in the local dog training community, earning respect and admiration for his unwavering dedication to the field. His efforts have not only transformed the lives of many dogs but have also positively impacted their owners, fostering a culture of responsible pet care.

The Berndorf Dog School continues to champion the principles of kindness and respect towards all animals, aligning with the global objectives of World Animal Protection Day. Events like these play a crucial role in educating the public about the importance of animal rights, urging individuals to take action to ensure the well-being of their pets and all animals.

As the celebration concluded, participants reflected on the progress made in animal welfare and the ongoing efforts needed to protect and advocate for animals in need. The Berndorf Dog School remains committed to its mission, inspiring future generations to prioritize the health and happiness of their furry companions.
