The recent general assembly of the Zukunftsraum Wienerwald association marked a significant milestone in the region's development. The assembly welcomed the municipalities of Wolfsgraben, Gablitz, and Tullnerbach as new members, completing the long-anticipated unification of seven municipalities in the Wienerwald area. These additions join the existing members: Klosterneuburg, Mauerbach, Purkersdorf, and Pressbaum.

This expansion signifies not only an increase in membership but also a commitment to collaboration in the fields of climate and energy management. The Zukunftsraum Wienerwald serves as the management body for the Climate and Energy Model Region (KEM), which aims to promote sustainable development and environmental responsibility among its members.

As part of this new phase, the association plans to focus on several key objectives. These include enhancing energy efficiency, promoting the use of renewable energy sources, and implementing innovative solutions to address climate change. The collaboration between the municipalities will foster knowledge sharing and resource pooling, which are essential for achieving these ambitious goals.

The integration of Wolfsgraben, Gablitz, and Tullnerbach into the association is expected to strengthen regional cooperation and enhance the capacity for joint initiatives. This unity is seen as a crucial step in addressing the pressing environmental challenges faced by the Wienerwald region and beyond.

Members of the association expressed optimism about the future and the potential impact of their joint efforts. The assembly concluded with a commitment to work together towards a sustainable and prosperous future for all member municipalities.
