Three Injured in Car Collision in Gänserndorf District

Three individuals sustained injuries in a car accident that occurred on Friday morning in Raasdorf, located in the Gänserndorf district. Preliminary reports indicate that a truck may have crossed into oncoming traffic, prompting a 47-year-old driver to swerve and ultimately lose control of his vehicle.

The resulting crash involved the man's car colliding with a vehicle driven by a 52-year-old from the same district. The latter was severely injured and required air transport to the Landesklinikum Mistelbach via a rescue helicopter. The 47-year-old driver and his six-year-old son, who were also traveling in the vehicle, received treatment for minor injuries and were subsequently taken to a clinic in Wien-Donaustadt.

Authorities have stated that the truck involved in the incident is believed to be a concrete mixer, and the driver fled the scene. The police are actively seeking information regarding the truck's driver as part of their investigation.
