A 26-year-old man was found in critical condition after he made his way to a police station in Vienna's Ottakring district, suffering from severe stab wounds. The victim, a Tunisian national, arrived at the Brunnengasse police station around 0:45 AM, exhibiting deep lacerations primarily on his face and neck.

According to police reports, he claimed to have been attacked by two assailants wielding a large knife or possibly a machete. Upon entering the police facility, he activated the emergency alarm and requested immediate assistance. Responders, including police officers and emergency medical personnel, arrived swiftly to provide urgent care before transporting him to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Medical officials indicated that the injuries posed a significant risk to the man's life. Following the incident, investigators traced a blood trail left by the victim back to the suspected crime scene, located approximately a six-minute walk from the police station on Friedmanngasse. Initial assessments suggest this residence is not the victim's place of residence.

The Vienna State Criminal Police, West Division, is leading the investigation, focusing on identifying the suspects, reconstructing the events leading up to the attack, and determining potential motives. At this point, the victim has not been able to provide additional information regarding the assault.
