Man Severely Injured in Violent Home Invasion in Vienna

In a shocking incident early Tuesday morning, a 37-year-old man was brutally attacked in his apartment in Simmering, Vienna. Two unidentified individuals gained entry through an open balcony door and surprised the resident while he was asleep.

The assailants allegedly assaulted the man, employing extreme violence that included choking, kicking, and inflicting multiple stab and cut wounds with a knife. Throughout the ordeal, they repeatedly demanded valuables from the victim.

The attackers fled the scene with a significant haul, which included a four-figure sum of cash, the victim's mobile phone, jewelry, several watches, and the keys to his vehicle. They exited the apartment through the front door, disappearing in an unknown direction.

Despite his severe injuries, the victim managed to reach out to a neighbor for help, who promptly alerted emergency services. The Vienna emergency rescue team arrived at the scene and provided critical first aid before transporting the injured man to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Authorities have launched an immediate search for the perpetrators, but as of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation continues.
