Nearly One Hundred Russian Soldiers Attempt Escape from Military Base

In a significant incident reported on Friday, close to one hundred Russian soldiers attempted to flee from a military facility located in Krasnodar, a city in southwestern Russia. The escape attempt unfolded after it was revealed that some of the detained soldiers had bribed their commanding officer, allowing them temporary permission to leave the base. An attorney representing one of the soldiers indicated that the remaining soldiers confronted the military leadership in search of answers regarding the disparity in treatment. Reports indicate that out of the nearly one hundred soldiers involved in the escape, seven managed to successfully flee, with four of them subsequently captured. It has been reported that some of these soldiers have been held without access to medical care for over six months. Their living conditions are described as dire, with soldiers sleeping in tents and having limited access to food and sanitation facilities. They are reportedly required to participate in roll calls twice daily, further emphasizing the lack of military engagement or productive activity for these individuals.
