The Mühlfeld Fire Brigade recently held its annual general assembly at the traditional country inn in Rosenburg. The central focus of the gathering was the election of new leadership, a significant event for the local emergency response organization. Members convened to ensure that the fire brigade remains well-prepared to address the needs of the community in the coming years.
At the assembly, the position of commander was reaffirmed, with Michael Hainzl receiving overwhelming support from the voting members. Out of 23 ballots cast, 22 were in favor of Hainzl, enabling him to continue into a second term as the head of the organization. This demonstration of confidence reflects the membership's trust in his leadership and vision for the brigade's future.
Supporting the commander, the roles of deputy commander and administrative officer were also determined. Hubert Schleritzko was unanimously selected to continue as the deputy commander, ensuring operational support and continuity within the leadership team. The post of administrative officer will remain with Gerald Paulik, who likewise received a unanimous vote. These appointments highlight the membership's satisfaction with the existing leadership and their collective commitment to stability and effective management.
The fire brigade's annual meeting also provided an occasion to review the organization's recent activities and achievements. Over the past year, the team responded to a range of emergencies, from fire incidents to technical assistance and community support operations. Members discussed key challenges encountered on duty, emphasizing the importance of ongoing training, resource management, and teamwork to maintain high standards of service.
Looking forward, the newly confirmed leadership outlined strategic objectives for the coming term. Emphasis was placed on enhancing operational readiness, investing in modern equipment, and strengthening relationships with regional emergency services. Training and recruitment of new members remain priorities, with outreach programs aimed at encouraging younger residents to join the brigade and participate in community service.
The event underscored the importance of volunteer organizations in rural communities. The Mühlfeld Fire Brigade, staffed primarily by dedicated volunteers, plays a vital role in ensuring public safety and rapid response in emergencies. The leadership transition process reaffirmed the brigade's commitment to professional standards, transparency, and active participation by its members.
As the fire brigade moves into the next period under established leadership, focus remains on maintaining preparedness, supporting local residents, and fostering a spirit of cooperation among emergency response organizations in the region. The assembly closed with expressions of gratitude to all brigade members for their ongoing service and dedication to the well-being of Mühlfeld and the surrounding areas.
