Motorcyclist Suffers Serious Injuries in Collision in Perschling

Simultaneously, a 20-year-old woman, also from the St. Pölten district, was driving a car eastbound on the Landesstraße 5030, coming from Panzing. The collision occurred as the car driver intended to turn left towards Perschling at the intersection of the two roads.

Preliminary findings suggest that the car driver had stopped at the junction before proceeding into the intersection. As she began her maneuver, the motorcycle rider attempted to avoid the car by swerving to the left. Despite efforts from both parties to evade a collision, the vehicles made contact at the crossing.

Upon impact, the motorcyclist was thrown from his vehicle and landed on the roadway, while his motorcycle continued its trajectory and came to rest in an adjacent field. Due to the seriousness of his condition, he was airlifted by emergency medical helicopter to the University Hospital Krems for immediate medical attention.

The 20-year-old car driver suffered minor injuries. She was treated on site by paramedics and did not require further hospitalization. Local authorities conducted an on-scene investigation to determine the precise sequence of events leading up to the incident. Both vehicles sustained damage, and debris was cleared from the roadway to restore safe passage for other motorists.
