The Luden Volunteer Fire Brigade is set to mark its 100th anniversary in 2027, and preparations are already underway for this significant milestone. A major focus for the fire brigade's leadership team is the planned renovation of the fire station, which has become a top priority as the organization moves closer to its centenary.
The current command structure, led by Commander Walter Stollhof, Deputy Commander Daniel Fritz, and Administrative Service Leader Franz Zotter, has been reaffirmed by unanimous decision. This team will oversee the upcoming renovation project, ensuring the fire brigade remains well-equipped for future operations and continues to meet the needs of the local community.
The Luden Volunteer Fire Brigade is composed of 27 dedicated members who have demonstrated a strong commitment to public safety and emergency response. In the previous year, the brigade recorded a total of 1,116 service hours, reflecting their involvement in various activities, including emergency responses, community outreach, and maintenance of equipment and infrastructure.
Currently, the brigade operates with a single emergency vehicle, which is maintained to support a range of fire and rescue operations. Despite limited resources, the members have maintained a high standard of readiness and have participated in training exercises to enhance their skills and preparedness for different emergency scenarios.
The planned renovation of the fire station is expected to improve the working conditions for the brigade and ensure compliance with modern safety and operational standards. Upgrading the facility will also provide enhanced support for the storage and maintenance of emergency vehicles and equipment, contributing to faster and more efficient response times during incidents.
Looking ahead to the 100th anniversary, the brigade is also considering a series of community events to celebrate its long-standing service. These activities aim to highlight the significant contributions made by past and present members of the fire brigade, as well as foster greater engagement with the local population. The centennial celebration will serve as an opportunity to honor the legacy of the Luden Volunteer Fire Brigade and to encourage new volunteers to join and support future operations.
The Luden Volunteer Fire Brigade continues to play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the local community. As preparations for the centenary and the fire station renovation move forward, the brigade's leadership emphasizes the importance of community support and collaboration to ensure the continued success and sustainability of their operations.
Further updates on the renovation project and anniversary events will be provided as planning progresses, reflecting the fire brigade's ongoing commitment to transparency and community engagement.
