Holcim Launches Large-Scale Solar Power Installation at Mannersdorf Cement Plant

Holcim has expanded its commitment to sustainable energy by commissioning a significant photovoltaic system at its Mannersdorf cement facility. This new solar installation, operational since the summer, is designed to bolster the plant's renewable energy output and reduce its reliance on conventional power sources.

The photovoltaic system at the Mannersdorf site has a capacity of 15.44 megawatts. It is projected to generate approximately 19.3 gigawatt-hours of electricity annually. This output equates to covering around 15 percent of the cement plant's total electricity requirements directly on-site.
