In an unusual political engagement, Heinz-Christian Strache, a former Vice Chancellor and prominent figure in Austria's right-wing political landscape, addressed approximately 150 students at a technical school in the 20th district of Vienna. This event, organized in connection with the upcoming municipal elections, invited young participants to share their motivations for entering politics. Strache's recounting of his own political awakening dates back to his childhood in the 1970s, where, as a student representative at a boarding school, he opposed corporal punishment.

Strache's political journey is marked by significant highs and lows.
