Tue 22nd Apr, 2025

The fiber optic expansion project in Waidhofen/Thaya is moving forward as planned. Recent work completed during the Holy Week focused on areas surrounding the state hospital on Berggasse, the Neuwirth housing estate, and Gymnasiumstraße. The next phase will target the Bahnhofstraße area.

Residents have been observing numerous ongoing construction sites throughout the city and are increasingly curious about the timeline for their own fiber optic connections. The expansion aims to enhance internet connectivity and provide residents with faster and more reliable service.

As the project progresses, officials are working diligently to keep the community informed about the developments and expected timelines for each neighborhood. The initiative is part of a broader effort to improve digital infrastructure within the region, ensuring that all citizens have access to high-speed internet.

Local authorities encourage residents to stay updated through official channels and community meetings, where they can receive the latest information and voice any concerns regarding the construction work. This fiber optic rollout is expected to significantly benefit both residential and business sectors, driving economic growth and improving quality of life.
