A tragic incident occurred at the Maria Alm ski resort in the Pinzgau region of Salzburg, where a 65-year-old ski tourer lost his life following a collision with a descending skier. According to reports, the 65-year-old local resident was ascending the marked piste when he was struck by a 20-year-old skier from the Pongau district, who was descending the slope at the time. Both individuals sustained serious injuries as a result of the high-impact collision.
