German Paraglider Dies in Tirol, Another Injured in Separate Incident

A 28-year-old woman from the Schwalm-Eder district in Hesse, Germany, suffered a fatal accident while paragliding in Neustift, located in the Stubai Valley region of Tyrol, Austria. The incident occurred on Friday morning when, for reasons still under investigation, the paraglider lost control over a wooded area near the Elfer mountain. The woman collided with a tree and was found deceased approximately 40 meters above the ground among the treetops. The accident was witnessed by two people aboard a nearby boat, who responded quickly by retrieving the injured paraglider from the water and transporting him to the shoreline. Upon arrival on land, emergency medical personnel provided immediate care before the man was airlifted by rescue helicopter to a clinic in Innsbruck for further treatment. His current condition has not been officially disclosed, and investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the equipment failure and subsequent crash.
