EFA Announces New Football League Featuring Vikings and Others

Mon 6th Oct, 2025

The European Football Alliance (EFA) has officially announced the formation of a new football league, with several prominent teams set to participate. Among the teams confirmed are the Vienna Vikings, reigning champions Stuttgart Surge, Rhein Fire, Paris Musketeers, Madrid Bravos, Frankfurt Galaxy, Wroclaw Panthers, Prague Lions, Nordic Storm, and Berlin Thunder.

In a significant development, these teams will no longer be bound by their previous contracts with the European League of Football (ELF). The existing franchise agreements, which either expire at the end of 2025 or have been terminated, will no longer restrict these clubs. This transition marks a pivotal moment as the teams unite to create a league that they can govern themselves, emphasizing a collaborative approach aimed at enhancing the experience for both players and fans.

The EFA has indicated that this strategic move is designed to empower the teams and provide them with greater control over their operations and competitive environments. By establishing a league that prioritizes the interests of the teams and their supporters, the EFA aims to foster a more engaging and dynamic football culture across Europe.

As the new league prepares for its inaugural season, anticipation is building among fans eager to see how these changes will unfold on the field. The focus will be on delivering high-quality matches and fostering community involvement, ensuring that the new league stands out in the competitive landscape of European football.
