Drone Attack in Odessa Targets Residential Area

In a recent escalation of conflict, Russian drones have reportedly attacked the city of Odessa, a key Black Sea port in Ukraine, according to local authorities. The nighttime assault involved multiple drones, igniting fires and causing significant damage to residential buildings.

Odessa's mayor, Gennadiy Trukhanov, reported that the attack specifically targeted a densely populated neighborhood, leading to the destruction of various apartments. He shared images on social media illustrating the aftermath, which includes charred structures and damaged facades.

Regional governor Oleh Kiper confirmed that the assault resulted in damage to not only residential homes but also vital civilian infrastructure, including an educational institution and vehicles parked in the vicinity. Emergency services have been deployed to manage the situation and assist affected residents.
