CTP, Europe's largest publicly traded developer and owner of industrial and logistics properties, has appointed Romano Tafaj as a new Business Developer for its Austrian operations. Tafaj will oversee strategic land acquisitions as well as the leasing and contractual negotiations for existing properties.
With over seven years of experience in the real estate sector, Tafaj has specialized in office, logistics, and commercial properties. His previous roles include positions at CBRE, Panattoni, and site acquisition at McDonald's Austria, where he gained substantial expertise in land acquisition, project development, as well as leasing and expansion.
CTP has ambitious plans for growth in Austria, and Tafaj's extensive experience and robust network are seen as crucial to advancing these initiatives. The company has successfully completed several large-scale projects in Austria, including a 50,000 square meter business park in Bruck an der Leitha, which houses renowned tenants such as Toyota, DHL, and Frigologo. This site aims to meet the highest ESG standards and seeks to achieve the 'BREEAM Excellent' sustainability certification.
Tafaj expressed excitement about contributing to CTP's dynamic development, emphasizing the importance of sustainable asset management. He noted that this entails a long-term commitment to various stakeholders, including tenants, communities, and the overall location, which distinctly sets CTP apart from its competitors in the market.
CTP is recognized for its dedication to sustainability, certifying all new buildings to at least 'BREEAM Very Good' standards. As of September 30, 2024, the company manages a gross lettable area of 12.6 million square meters across ten countries. CTP has also received a 'Low-Risk' ESG rating from Sustainalytics, further highlighting its commitment to responsible business practices.
