Vivatis Food Group Reports Increased Revenue Amidst Market Challenges

Fri 4th Apr, 2025

The Linz-based Vivatis Food Group has announced a revenue increase, achieving EUR1.35 billion in the fiscal year 2024. This marks a rise of over 5% compared to the previous year, despite facing significant fluctuations in costs related to raw materials, energy, logistics, and personnel. According to the company's leadership, this growth can be attributed to organic expansion and the strategic acquisition of SV Österreich GmbH, a catering company, by Vivatis subsidiary GMS Gourmet.

The acquisition last year resulted in the addition of 50 new locations, enhancing GMS Gourmet's status as a market leader in the area of community catering. The company has effectively capitalized on the closure of numerous hospitality establishments, particularly in the business catering sector, where it now services over 3,000 companies with meal deliveries. In the upcoming three years, Vivatis aims to achieve growth between EUR60 million and EUR80 million, particularly focusing on the German market.

In the same fiscal year, the overall gastronomy segment of the Vivatis Group generated nearly EUR70 million in revenue. Additionally, the Maresi Group, also part of the holding, reported satisfactory business performance, generating around EUR180 million, with half of this revenue coming from Eastern European markets. The company is now exploring opportunities in Slovenia and Croatia.

Vivatis Holding AG employs over 4,100 individuals and encompasses various brands including KnabberNossi, Inzersdorfer, Wojnar's, and Maresi, along with multiple production and service companies.
