Munich. The post office releases a special stamp for the 200th anniversary of the Oktoberfest. Displayed on the stamp are "the Münchner Kindl" (a young woman representing the town of Munich) and other "typical figures of Munich" on a carousel.

The 55 cent stamp will be released on the 9th of Semptember. Michael Kunter from Berlin designed the picture on the stamp. A blue and white carousel with "typical figures of Munich" is printed on the stamp as the post office describes it. Besides the Münchner Kindl, there is a woman in a Dirndl and a man in Lederhosen sitting on the carousel.
