Munich. Hundreds of thousands of visitors are expected at the Ecumenical Church Congress in Munich from 12th to 16th May. An extensive art and cultural program accompanies the meeting of Catholic and Protestant Christians.

Church visitors gain free admission to most museums in Munich. During the Ecumenical Church Congress in the Allerheiligen-Hofkirche, particular lectures and discussions will be held, with one of the topics: The Virtual Church. Theologians, students and Internet experts will discuss the opportunities and risks of the churches on the Internet.

The Ecumenical Church Congress will be a major event that brings the city traffic to a potential standstill.  From 12th to 16th May it is advisable not to travel by car to anywhere within the inner ring. On Wednesday from 11AM, parts of the Altstadtring will be closed down for preparation for the party in the evening.
