The listed inn was built in 1473 and has been carefully renovated with modern technology, hidden away to preserve the traditional ambiance. It is the oldest and most renowned inn in the region. The town of Klingenberg has a recognized beautiful old town. At the center stands 'our sword,' as it is affectionately called by the locals. Here, from the ground-level guest terrace, you enter the house, passing a small 'Cooper's parlor' into an impressive sandstone vault, which is the essential and rustic dining area on the ground floor. Via the original sandstone staircase in the house or a new, wide sandstone staircase outside, you reach the upper dining area. Here you will find the elegant 'Churfürstenstube' with a Renaissance stucco ceiling and a wonderful view of the beautiful old town, as well as another dining room for smaller gatherings.
