About Waldstüberl

The Ferienregion Nationalpark Bayerischer Wald is a unique collection of idyllic holiday destinations around Germany's oldest national park. Nestled in the impressive mid-mountain landscape of the Bavarian Forest, directly on the border with the Czech Republic, it opens up a natural paradise for nature lovers, families, and active sports enthusiasts. The region offers a diverse range of hiking opportunities, from cozy, barrier-free circular trails to adventurous summit tours. Cyclists and mountain bikers will find ideal conditions on over 200 km of well-marked bike paths. Families enjoy child-friendly routes, while dog owners benefit from dog-friendly accommodations. In winter, the region attracts visitors with snowshoe hiking, cross-country skiing, and winter fun. With around 800 kilometers of well-maintained trails, including about 80 km through the winter national park, the Ferienregion Nationalpark Bayerischer Wald is one of the largest cross-country skiing regions in Bavaria.
