Welcome to the rustic Hintereck! The Hintereck is starting its last season in 2025 with the following opening hours and exclusively outdoor self-service in dry hiking weather: From May 1 to September 28, 2025, Saturday & Sunday, as well as public holidays from 11 AM to 6 PM - kitchen closes at 5 PM. Idyllically located near Simonswald-Gütenbach, in a rural area, the Hintereck holiday apartment is situated in a former over 300-year-old Black Forest farmhouse in a clearing in the woods. We offer a rustic holiday apartment with low ceilings and creaking floors, approximately 100 sqm for a maximum of 8 people, with a unique location and view. The accommodation features two double rooms, one single room, and a multi-bed room with 3 double beds for youth and young-at-heart. Currently, there is no Wi-Fi in the holiday apartment, as broadband expansion in Simonswald is expected to be completed in the fall. The accommodation currently has only one shared bathroom. On the ground floor, there are two additional toilets that also belong to the holiday apartment. Parking is available directly at the accommodation. The holiday apartment is surrounded by a lot of green space. From the accommodation, there are great hiking trails, mountain biking routes, and waterfalls. You can reach Kandel by car within 50 minutes. Freiburg can also be reached by car in about three-quarters of an hour.
