The silent green is a young venue and an independent project that has found its unique home in Berlin in the historic premises of the former crematorium Wedding. Under private sponsorship, silent green sees itself as a protected space in which to think, research and experiment. Since 2015, meetings, conferences, seminars and workshops, as well as special celebrations have taken place in the historic part of the building. In addition, the domed hall has established itself as a unique venue for concerts, readings and film. In structural contrast, the underground concrete hall will be completed in 2019. With a total area of 1600sqm, it is now also possible to hold cross-media exhibitions and productions of a larger scale from the fields of film, music and discourse in silent green. In the interplay of the historic part of the building and the new concrete hall and studio building with five additional multipurpose rooms, a large-scale creative campus has been created.
