The history of Schönenberger Hof dates back to 1966 when Arthur and Anny Schönenberger built the establishment. In 1977, it was handed over to their daughter Brigitte Baumann, who expanded the hotel and restaurant in 1980. The operation was taken over by her sons Stefan and Sascha Baumann in 2010, who renovated the restaurant in 2014/2015.
