Every Thursday at 9 PM, jazz musicians from Freiburg and surrounding areas gather in the cozy jazz cellar Ruefetto. They play jazz in various styles, mostly pieces from the Bebop era around Charlie Parker and Miles Davis. The beautiful vaulted cellar transforms into a melting pot, with musicians elevating their solos driven by the drummer's beat, while the audience absorbs the atmosphere and enjoys the music as if transported back to New York in the 1940s and 1950s.
