Since its opening, Robbengatter has been a popular meeting place for eating, drinking, chatting, or enjoying an after-work beer. Guests often include residents of the Bayerisches Viertel, but hungry and thirsty visitors come from afar. The name Robbengatter originated during a break in the construction and furnishing phase of the premises. As the founding crew sat in a circle with sideburns and mustaches, one exclaimed, 'You look like seals in a pen!' The name was born. The restaurant offers a balanced menu with changing weekly and seasonal dishes, as well as a lunchtime business menu for the price-conscious and hurried lunch guest, served from early morning until late at night. On weekends or during sports highlights, 'sports friends' gather in the bar area to participate in 'Bundesliga Live' and other sports events together.
