The Obereichsfeldhalle in Leinefelde is the largest event hall in Eichsfeld. It was built in 1968 on the central square together with a restaurant. The hall has a listed roof construction. The Obereichsfeldhalle was renovated and remodelled in 1999 and reopened in 2000. The multi-purpose hall has a sports area of more than 1000 m², a modern foyer in which smaller events can be organised, a grandstand system as well as extensive changing and sanitary facilities and lounges, which still serve as an excellent backstage area today. The stage can be set up flexibly - both in terms of size and location in the hall. Events of various genres such as musicals, rock concerts and folk music evenings are held in the Obereichsfeldhalle all year round. But the hall is also popular for flea markets, company parties, graduation balls or festive receptions.
