About Minna Thiel

Minna Thiel is an old MAN rail bus from the 1950s that has made its way from Berlin to the charming Maxvorstadt, located on the green lawn of the HFF. In the midst of the art area, it has become a popular meeting point for students from the surrounding universities. In close cooperation with Doris Dörrie and the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film, there are readings, workshops, live and DJ music, games for borrowing, a table tennis table, and of course cold and hot drinks throughout the summer. Additionally, there is a swap shelf in an old phone booth and a photo booth on site. The name 'Minna Thiel' refers to the late wife and loyal companion of the railway keeper, representing stability, unconditional love, and a refuge for all seekers in Hauptmann's novella.
