The Hirtenscheune is a unique and idyllic venue located in Tauberzell, situated between Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Creglingen along the Romantic Road. It has a rich history dating back to the 13th century when wine cultivation was first established by the canons of Herrieden. After a significant decline in viticulture in the upper Taubertal, the vineyards were replanted in 1983/84, reviving the old 'Wengert' and expanding the area under cultivation. The venue is known for hosting traditional events, including the crowning of the new wine princess.
