Welcome! The Gundel bakery is one of the oldest artisanal bakeries in Heidelberg. Located at the foot of Heidelberg Castle, near Kornmarkt and the Gothic Heiliggeistkirche, the bakery is situated in a house built around 1720. Since 1766, the right to bake has been officially granted for this house. This traditional business has been family-owned since 1896 and is now run by Christian Gundel in the fourth generation.
