The Fliegendes Theater is a modern puppet and object theater in Berlin. It serves as a venue, workshop, and storage, as well as a starting point for numerous travels throughout Germany and beyond. Since 1978, the theater has been producing performances for children and adults. The desire to combine visual arts such as painting or sculpture with theater led to the creation of puppet theater. In our productions, we work multimedia: the combination of acting, puppet and object theater, as well as film and overhead projections creates scenic material. Working in our own venue allows for a solid foundation for regular work and ideal conditions for artistic experiments. Additionally, the theater regularly goes on tour and performs at national and international festivals.
