About CANK

A massive building with gilded windows that looks like a huge geometric shape. Brutal! The building has many stories to tell: built in 1953, it served as a C&A department stores' until 2012, then as refugee accommodation from 2015 to 2018, before and after which it stood empty for years. The building in a prominent location offers plenty of opportunities to let off steam creatively. The building has a total area of 10,000 square metres and 5 levels - as befits a department store. As you enter, you see a mirrored column, ceilings made of pipes and cables and rough, textured walls. But the best thing is that all levels are connected by escalators. In addition to an exciting new event location, where public and private events alternate, a place for art and culture is being created here
