Welcome to our charming café on the Hintere Insel in Lindau! We are open daily from 9:30 AM until sunset. In summer, enjoy refreshing drinks like Aperol, gin and tonic, and Limoncello spritz – perfect for sunny afternoons by the water. In winter, we create a cozy atmosphere with hot mulled wine, delicious Lumumba, spicy punch, and more, along with cozy blankets. Regardless of the season, we look forward to your visit and to providing you with a little break! The Café Hintere Insel is a special place on the Hintere Insel in Lindau, right by Lake Constance. Since our opening during the Garden Show in 2021, we invite guests from near and far to experience our unique combination of family charm, regional cuisine, and sustainable gastronomy. Our café is not only a meeting point for guests from Lindau but also for the locals themselves. Thanks to the Garden Show project, the city of Lindau has transformed the Hintere Insel into a true paradise. The new stairs provide swimming opportunities directly at the lake, while a beautiful playground, a skate park, a climbing area, a calisthenics park, and the newly designed Bürgerpark with meadows, flower fields, and trees (once parking lots) make the island a place for young and old alike.
