Authorities have brought charges against five men in connection with a triple homicide that took place at a hair salon in central Uppsala. The incident, which resulted in the deaths of three individuals aged 15, 16, and 20, is believed to have been meticulously planned and executed as part of an organized operation.

According to prosecutors, the principal suspect, a 21-year-old man, was apprehended with 100,000 kronor in cash and a letter indicating his willingness to carry out assignments in exchange for payment. Investigators allege that this individual acted as a contract perpetrator, supported by a network that provided logistical assistance including clothing, transportation, and reconnaissance ahead of the crime.

The events unfolded on a Monday evening when the suspect entered the hair salon and opened fire, resulting in multiple fatalities. The prosecution asserts that the crime was orchestrated to provoke conflict between rival groups. The investigation revealed that the main suspect had received significant help from four other individuals, aged between 18 and 25, who are also now facing charges.

Among the co-defendants, an 18-year-old is accused of facilitating the shooter's journey to the crime scene by booking a taxi and leaving an electric scooter outside the salon, which was later used as a means of escape. This individual is also alleged to have stored the scooter at his residence, spent time with the shooter in a safe house, ordered food, and allowed the use of his mobile phone. Digital records reportedly show the 18-year-old searching for various addresses in Uppsala, including the hair salon, which prosecutors cite as evidence of premeditation.

Two other suspects, aged 20 and 24 at the time of the offense, are believed to have assisted in procuring disguises such as caps and sunglasses for the shooter and to have taken steps to destroy evidence following the attack. A 25-year-old is accused of concealing the firearms after the incident.

The principal defendant also faces charges in relation to a separate shooting that occurred two weeks earlier in Eslöv, southern Sweden. In that case, two men sustained life-threatening injuries after being shot multiple times in a city center attack. The 21-year-old is alleged to have fired at least six rounds, striking the victims in the torso and leg, according to court documents.

In addition to the homicide and attempted homicide charges, the main suspect is being prosecuted for serious firearms offenses. He is alleged to have transported two loaded and readily accessible weapons, identified as a Glock and an HS-9, between different locations in Uppsala.

Background checks reveal that the 21-year-old has previous convictions for offenses including the armed robbery of a jewelry store and minor drug and driving violations. The case continues to develop as authorities pursue their investigation and legal proceedings against all five accused.
