Münchener Verein

Small Munich-based PKV

Münchener Verein was founded in 1922 in Munich, with around 30 branches in other parts of Germany. A relatively small player in the field of private health insurance, they particularly aim to cover civil servants and student teachers. Their policies bring in over half a billion euros, with a quarter of a million people insured.

What are the benefits to Münchener Verein?

Münchener Verein is not in the 2020 list of the 10 best private health insurance companies in Germany. Their website is not in English and this lack of foresight is not a good portent of their approach to the international community, which is especially disappointing as their home city of Munich is extremely multicultural. As such, there are probably better alternatives for English-speakers living in Germany.
