Cross-Border Research Initiative Launched for Thayatal and Podyjí National Parks

A new cross-border research initiative titled BioReMo (Biodiversity Research and Monitoring) has been officially launched, focusing on the rich biodiversity within the Thayatal and Podyjí National Parks, straddling Austria and the Czech Republic. The primary objective of this project is to enhance biodiversity research in these protected areas.

The initiative aims to standardize scientific methodologies used in research, ensuring that data collected across both national parks can be analyzed and compared effectively. By establishing a unified approach to biodiversity monitoring, the project seeks to create a reliable and consistent knowledge base that can be utilized for long-term environmental management and conservation efforts.

Through collaborative research efforts, BioReMo will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices between Austrian and Czech scientists.
